Following the success of the Sheikh Jaber Al Ahmad Cultural Centre (JACC) winning Interior Design of the Year, Public Sector at the CID Awards, the SSH team behind that success has now appeared in CID magazine’s recent issue.
SSH’s Prashantha Pais, Project Architect, and Wassim Ghandour, Senior Interior Designer – Building Design, represented the company’s Interior Design Team at the event and are pictured holding the award.
“We are very happy and this was a very challenging project. No words can describe our emotions and feelings,” they said, adding that the four separate buildings that make up the centre made JACC a “one of a kind” project to work on.
The award judges “appreciated this modern twist on Arab architecture, with its graphite colouring and the use of symbolic patterns and poetry in a contemporary and artistic way. The project was particularly praised for the way it plays with light and shadow.”
