SSH is looking for a Project Director / Senior Project Manager (Building Design) to join our office in Riyadh, KSA, where we provide front-end design leadership for the wider group.
The ideal candidate will have experience in managing a design project from start to finish. This candidate will be able to create a plan of action which will consider a fixed timeline and evaluate risks. This individual should also have experience managing people and be an effective communicator.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Is sought out for technical expertise and knowledge and for troubleshooting complex technical issues within local office, and across regional offices.
• Coordinates projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities
• Applies basic knowledge and understanding of multi-disciplines and in-depth knowledge in own field of specialty
• Provides technical expertise in preparation for review budgets, bids, and contracts, where necessary liaises with clients, statutory authorities and other3rd parties.
• Defines roles and responsibilities of multi-disciplinary projects
• Demonstrates ability to input on policies, standards, or procedures for Architectural / Interior / Design / Landscape / Technologist and technical work for the improvement of QA & IMS documentation.
• Promotes vision and mission statements throughout discipline area.

• Detailed knowledge of SSH’s standards, policies, codes and procedures and ability to transmit the same to others.
• Full knowledge of Statutory Authorities requirements, knowledge of codes, regulations and submission requirements.
• Ability and will to mentor and provide support to junior staff members and spread knowledge across the wider engineering community.
• Ability and will to update knowledge.
• Excellent command of English (written and spoken). Knowledge of other languages is an added value.
• Direct and oversee completion of project
• Develop plan of action including schedule, resources and work plan
• Assess risks and establish contingency plans
• Manage work and inputs from variety of stakeholders
Qualifications:
• B.Eng or B.Sc in relevant engineering discipline
• Desirable minimum 15 years post graduate experience.
• Local Society of Engineers membership.
• Desirable Chartered Engineer or similar accreditation.
