SSH recently opened its doors to students from Kuwait University for the second time in what has become the annual SSH Student Lecture.
SSH has always actively supported various programmes to help young architecture and engineering students and in 2018, Kuwait University reached out to the company to provide a forum for students of its architecture campus to learn from SSH’s expertise. From this developed a new platform offering an insight into how a leading real-world multidisciplinary practice operates.
That inaugural event, an informative lecture hosted at the company’s offices, gained such positive feedback from attending students, that SSH has now turned the educational opportunity into an annual initiative, with Colm Dunphy, Principal Architect at SSH, again taking the helm.
Colm was on hand to host students for his educational introduction to the company, to explain its role within the wider architecture, engineering and construction industry and help them discover how the SSH uses its well-known integrated design approach to delivering landmark projects across the MENA region.
“Young and talented individuals are crucial to the future of the industry,” Colm said. “This collaborative educational initiative with Kuwait University allows SSH to guide students on their future entry into the sector and to help nurture the next generation of architects and engineers.”
