Principal Engineer - Infrastructure
Bassam joined SSH in March 2015 as a Principal Electrical Engineer in the Infrastructure Division to deliver electrical infrastructure design to major development projects in coordination with the various GCC Electrical Authorities including MEW, KAHRAMAA, ADWEA ADDC and Transco. He takes responsibility for the design of electrical networks from 415volts up to 132kV and is an expert in the design of substations, 11kV networks, 22kV networks and street lighting.
Bassam has worked in the region since 1985 with experience of the successful construction of Azzour South Power Station, Kuwait Conference Centre, the Petrochemical Industries Headquarters, Reem Island Infrastructure UAE, Al Ain Wild Life Resort, Ettihad Rail, Qatar Rail, C2 in Doha, Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Causeway in Kuwait, KOC Housing and Shadadiya Industrial Area. Prior to joining SSH Bassam worked for contracting and design/supervision consultants KEOIC, Hyder Consulting, Gulf Engineering and Mudhyan and Sons Co.
Bassam has Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from the Wichita State University, Kansas, USA. He also holds a Professional Engineering Certificate, USA. He is a member of the Environmental Engineering Expert Institute and the Jordan Society of Engineers and the Kuwait Society of Engineers.
