Job Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with 8–12 years of experience to join our Building Design team. The candidate will lead mechanical design works across projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables, strong multidisciplinary coordination, and full compliance with statutory regulations and project standards. The role requires solid experience in HVAC design, cooling load calculations, and advanced proficiency in Revit for coordinated working drawings.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead mechanical design works including HVAC, ventilation, chilled water, and related building systems.
• Prepare and review mechanical design drawings, calculations, and technical documentation.
• Perform cooling load calculations and system sizing.
• Ensure full coordination with Architecture, Structure, and other MEP disciplines.
• Review tender documentation, specifications, and BOQs.
• Coordinate responses to RFIs, design review comments, and contractor queries.
• Supervise and mentor Mechanical Engineers and Technicians.
• Ensure compliance with international codes and statutory authority requirements.
• Implement QA/QC procedures across all mechanical deliverables.
• Provide technical support during construction when required.
Qualifications & Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree (or Master’s) in Mechanical Engineering.
• 8–12 years of experience in mechanical building design consultancy.
• strong experience in Gulf projects is mandatory
• Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit (mandatory) with experience in coordinated working drawings.
• Strong experience in HVAC design and cooling load software (HAP, IES-VE, or similar).
• Knowledge of international standards and authority submission requirements.
• Understanding of Fire & Life Safety and Sustainable Design principles.
• Professional membership (CIBSE, ASHRAE, or equivalent) is an advantage.
• Excellent command of English (written and spoken).
• Strong leadership and coordination skills.
