Job Summary:
The Lead Interior Designer manages an interior design team, overseeing design delivery across projects of all scales. Responsible for ensuring design excellence, client coordination, and integration of BIM and innovative working methods throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead a design group through all project stages, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
• Act as client contact for design-related matters within the design group.
• Coordinate the integrated design delivery and contribute to overall project management.
• Ensure compliance with SSH quality procedures, standards, and statutory authority requirements.
• Oversee BIM integration and implement innovative working methodologies.
• Develop design manuals, standard documents, and presentations to enhance efficiency and knowledge sharing.
• Mentor and support junior team members.
Requirements:
• Strong design skills with relevant project experience.
• Understanding of commercial management, risk management, and scope/interface definition.
• Knowledge of SSH standards, policies, codes, and statutory requirements.
• Awareness of Health & Safety and Sustainable Design principles.
• Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.
• Leadership, mentoring, and collaboration skills.
• Flexibility and alignment with company objectives.
