South Mall

Situated at the heart of the emergent city of Al Wakrah, this upcoming project will be a high-end luxury shopping mall experience, which will be one-of-a kind in the State of Qatar. Covering an area of almost 50,000 sqm, this development will have, among other facilities, a hypermarket, top international restaurants and food outlets, coffee shops, anchor stores, a sports/recreational club and a state-of-the-art go-kart track.

The design of the new shopping mall will comprise ground and mezzanine floors, with two levels of basement. Level B1 will include retail, parking and building services, while Level B2 will provide further parking and be home to the go-kart track. The mall will also house a standalone two-level food and beverage offering positioned at the front of the complex and featuring LED-screen advertising that faces the main road.

SSH provided full design consultancy services for the proposed development, from concept through to detailed design, along with preparation of tender documentation and tender evaluation. Post-contract services will form a separate contract.

SSH was awarded the contract based on a concept design submission process, after competing with other local and international firms, to provide multidisciplinary design and construction supervision services for the new mall.
