Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Structural Design Engineer with a 8 to 12 years of professional experience, including significant project exposure within the GCC region. The ideal candidate must have strong expertise in structural analysis and design of building projects and be fully familiar with ACI and ASCE codes and international standards.
Core Responsibilities
∙ Lead structural design and analysis for residential, commercial, hospitality, and mixed-use developments.
∙ Prepare structural calculations, design reports, and technical specifications. ∙ Design reinforced concrete and steel structures in accordance with:
o ACI (American Concrete Institute) Codes
o ASCE (American Society of Civil Engineers) Standards
o Local municipality regulations within GCC countries.
∙ Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, and project managers to ensure design integration.
∙ Review drawings and provide technical guidance during construction. ∙ Conduct value engineering and optimize structural systems.
∙ Participate in technical meetings with clients and authorities.
∙ Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and project timelines.
∙ Mentor junior engineers and oversee design team deliverables.
∙Bachelor’s degree in civil/Structural Engineering (master’s preferred).
∙ Minimum 8 years of structural design experience.
∙ Proven experience in GCC Projects.
∙ Strong knowledge of:
o SBC /DBC
o ACI
o ASCE
o International Building Code (IBC)
∙ Proficiency in structural software such as:
o ETABS
o SAFE
o SAP2000 – RAM Concept
∙ Experience in foundation design (raft, pile foundations).
∙ Strong understanding of wind and seismic design principles.
∙ Excellent communication and leadership skills
Preferred Skills
∙ Good Experience in high-rise buildings and hospitality projects.
∙ Knowledge of BIM coordination.
∙ Familiarity with local authority submission procedures within GCC.
∙ Good knowledge in post-tension and steel is advance.
