Dhofar Beach Resort and Spa, Oman

Located on the eastern side of Dhofar Beach in Salalah, the five-star Dhofar Beach Resort and Spa comprises a six-storey main hotel, ballroom, reception building, spa, luxury villas, restaurants, leisure amenities, meeting and convention facilities, retail outlets and associated back-of-house buildings, all set within extensively landscaped grounds. The resort benefits from convenient road access to the north-east, while its southern frontage enjoys uninterrupted panoramic views across the Arabian Sea.

The development accommodates 220 guest rooms, 66 luxury villas and two presidential suites within a total built-up area of 61,530 sqm. A further 32,850 sqm of hard and soft landscaped areas incorporates communal spaces, water features and gardens, creating an attractive setting in which the private villas are arranged in family clusters.

SSH provided the main consultancy services for construction supervision and acted as the Engineer under the Red FIDIC contract, with a general scope covering the enabling works, structural works, main works (FF&E) and power supply.

SSH was also responsible for ensuring compliance with all design specifications, standards and statutory requirements to ensure quality delivery.
