Job Purpose
Lead landscape design projects from concept to detailed design, ensuring design excellence, technical accuracy, and effective team leadership.
Core Responsibilities
- Project Leadership & Delivery:
– Lead and manage small to medium-scale projects or major components of large projects
– Develop project design philosophy and delivery strategies
– Ensure project objectives are achieved within timeline and budget - Design Coordination & Technical Excellence:
– Ensure multidisciplinary coordination and technical accuracy of design outputs
– Prepare and review working drawings and detailed design packages
– Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and statutory authority requirements - Consultant & Stakeholder Coordination:
– Prepare scope of services for specialist sub-consultants
– Lead responses to design review comments, tender queries, and RFIs
– Coordinate with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders - Quality Assurance & Compliance:
– Manage QA/QC processes and internal design reviews
– Ensure adherence to SSH standards and best practices
– Apply Health & Safety and Sustainable Design principles - Team Leadership & Mentoring:
– Mentor and guide junior landscape architects and technicians
– Promote knowledge sharing and continuous development within the team - Design Communication:
– Contribute to design presentations, reports, and client meetings
Skills & Experiences
- Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture
- 8–12 years of experience in landscape consultancy
- Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit (mandatory)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and presentation tools
- Strong knowledge of landscape detailing, materials, and construction processes
- Knowledge of authority requirements and regulatory compliance
- Understanding of Health & Safety and Sustainable Design principles
- Proven leadership and mentoring skills
- Excellent English communication skills
- Professional accreditation is an advantage
