Junoot Phase 1 0

The Junoot Touristic Development is a resort in Shuwaimiyah, on the coast 300 km northeast of Salalah City, in the Dhofar governorate, in the Sultanate of Oman. SSH, under a separate contract, carried out master planning services for the full-phased development of the site. The site is connected to Salalah via the newly opened road that provides access to the site from its northern side. The site covers a total area of 1,000,874 sqm, with a coastal front of 1,250 m and a depth of 780 m inland. The total built-up area of Phase 1’s buildings totals 18,456 sqm. The site is close to Shuwaimiyah and Fararah villages, and is surrounded by mountainous terrain on the northern and western sides, overlooking the Gulf of Halaniyat.

Junoot Phase 1 1

Phase 1 of this extensive development consists of a four-star hotel, motel and residential units (Junoot village). It also has a convenience store, staff accommodation and facilities for fishermen. The four-star hotel includes a spa, two restaurants and a pool club. It will have a total of 43 keys. Junoot village consists of 51 chalets arranged in one cluster.

The town centre is the main public space for this development. Its key components are a mosque, central plaza, retail and basic services for both residents and tourists. The motel will consist of 30 keys and is planned to service the surrounding community, as well as to provide an affordable, relaxing rest-stop for passersby. Finally, the staff accommodation will host the staff servicing the town centre and the hotels.
